#LettersToDad is a youth initiated campaign by Youth TransformNations By encouraging young people to write letters to their fathers/or father figures (if they don’t have a father)/male mentors in their lives it promotes communication and building of relationships between young people and their elders, especially with fathers/father figures/male mentors and to foster closer bonds between young people and their fathers. How It Started
#LettersToDad campaign is a Wholly Youth Initiative borne out of the Youth TransformNations(YTN) CONNECT program. Through facilitation at YTN connect, youth leaders from different background experiences and representing various fields (i.e. youth leaders who are passionate about youth development in various fields such as media, the arts, schools, outreach to the disadvantaged, sports and businesses) felt UNITY IN FAMILY is an overriding national cause that needs to be championed in the light of breakdown of family/marriages/child-parent relationships. #LettersToDad is a long term campaign to champion the cause of families in Singapore leading to a global movement! |
